Privacy in plain language

We collect only the information reasonably required to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, manage projects, communicate with applicants and suppliers, secure our systems and comply with applicable law. We do not sell personal information.

Information we may collect

  • Names, contact details and organisation information submitted through an enquiry.
  • Project scopes, drawings, bills of quantities, tender documents and related correspondence.
  • Supplier or subcontractor registration and compliance information submitted through the Makiti Group portal.
  • Recruitment and workforce information submitted through the Makiti Group Careers or Workforce portal.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser details, security events and cookie choices.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to enquiries, prepare proposals and quotations, plan and deliver construction services, conduct supplier due diligence, administer recruitment, prevent fraud, maintain safety and security, meet contractual requirements and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

Linked group portals

Careers, workforce registrations and supplier or subcontractor applications are managed through central Makiti Group platforms. Information submitted on those platforms is governed by the full Makiti Group privacy policy and the notice displayed at the point of collection.

Sharing and security

Where necessary and lawful, information may be shared with authorised Makiti Group personnel, clients, project partners, professional advisers, regulators and service providers that support hosting, email, security, recruitment or business administration. Reasonable organisational and technical safeguards are used, although no internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Retention and your rights

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably required for its purpose, contractual obligations, dispute resolution or statutory retention. Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may request access, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
